How far do you think the limit of the sky? Or do you think the sky is not limited? Well some of us think that the sky at least has a limit. From religious term, we are told that there are seven skies. But what is the limit between two skies? I will try to discuss those questions later.
According to big bang theory, the universe is still under process of expanding. Meaning the sky is still growing. Remember the theory of relativity of Albert Einstein? There is also time relativity depending on the distance of someone observing an object. Imagine you are watching a bright star which one million of light years distance from you. Do you believe if I tell you that you are just watching how the star looked one million years ago. The light from that star has traveled at the speed of light to reach us. Therefore, it has taken the star's light one million years to get here, and the light we are seeing was created one million years ago. A light year is 5,865,696,000,000 miles (9,460,800,000,000 kilometers) (see for further light year).
For those who believe in God, they believe that God is the greatest of all. He is the largest, the hugest among all in this universe. He created the universe, and as the consequence, sky is in Him since sky is also His creature. It is impossible that the sky is larger than Him or He is located somewhere in the sky. This is also answering question "where is He?". Other consequence is there is no space between Him and all His creatures since He covers everything. This explains that He is inside of all of us. We are part of Him. In the beginning of this blog, i asked you the limit of sky. From this assumption, I can tell you that only God limits the sky. However there are seven skies in Him. What is the limit? some arguments say that there are seven atmosphere layers, which have explained what the seven skies are. Some other say that seven skies are dimensions. One dimensional is a dot. Two dimensional is a line or a curve which is each consists of many dots collied. Three dimensional is things having width, length and depth (see more). Four dimensional is nature where we can not see through, but something in it can see us (spiritual world). And so on until seven dimensional. But I have my own assumption.
Now have you ever thought the smallest things ever? several years ago people only know the smallest thing is atom. But then discovered that there are much smaller things inside it, called proton, electron and neutron. Currently we know quark recognized as the smallest thing ever discovered. Then what...maybe there are more tiny things inside quark. It made me think that, who knows, we are now living on the planet which is something inside the thing like atom, proton, neutron, electron or even quark? And there are living creatures beyond our sky? Or are there living creatures inside the quark? Is that the sky limit we are trying to discover? Isn't the movement of those things similar with the sky things? Moving along their orbit.
Maybe all the assumptions are correct. Isn't God Most Everything? He can create as many type of sky layers and limits as He wish. Maybe He Stated in Holy Quran the "seven skies" term as many kinds of sky He created. Sky layer as atmosphere, as dimensional or as galaxies, stars, planets, atoms, neutrons, protons, electrons, quarks....and so on.
